Course Overview

The Site Engineer Course is designed to train students and professionals in practical construction site work. This course covers planning, execution, supervision, quality control, and site management of building, road, and infrastructure projects.

  • Basic Civil Engineering Knowledge: Types of construction (Building, Road, Bridge); Construction materials (cement, sand, aggregate, steel)

  • Drawing Reading: Architectural drawings; Structural drawings; Bar Bending Schedule (BBS)

  • Surveying Basics: Auto Level; Total Station; Layout marking on site

  • Construction Execution: Foundation to finishing work; RCC work (footing, column, beam, slab); Brickwork & plastering

  • Quantity Surveying & Billing: BOQ preparation; Rate analysis; Measurement & billing

  • Quality Control: Site tests (slump test, cube test); Material quality checking

  • Site Management: Labour handling; Daily progress report; Planning & scheduling

  • Safety Management: PPE (helmet, safety shoes, etc.); Site safety rules; Live construction site exposure

  • Practical Training: Use of survey instruments; Real project case study
